Pureed Side Dishes

pureed side dishes. Our product line includes pureed: pasta, rice, and bread
mixes.
Your facility can avoid the time consuming and messy process that
are involved with cooking, rinsing, pureeing, thickening, and finally reheating
your food.
Now Preparing Pasta and Rice is fast and easy with Thick
& Easy® Instantized Pasta and Rice. It is now possible to achieve the
wholesome nutrition and subtle texture of real pasta, made from 100% enriched
semolina, and rice without pureeing. Thick & Easy® Instantized Pasta
and Rice are formulated to be fast and easy.
A presentation tip from our
chefs: Using a pastry bag with a multi-hole forming tip filled with prepared
Thick & Easy® Instantized Rice, squeeze and pipe from an upright
position with short strokes to create a rice grain effect.
Thick
& Easy™ Pureed Bread Mix is tasty and easy to use. Thick &
Easy™ Pureed Bread Mix can be used as an ingredient to make other eye
appealing pureed dishes.
Our easy to follow preparation instructions
allow you to mix our products with Thick & Easy® Instant Food
Thickener and avoid the complications of blending or pureeing. The finished
product provides a dense, cohesive texture to promote safe
swallowing.
Simple Preparation Pasta and
Rice
- Bring water and salt (if desired) to a boil
- Whisk in Thick & Easy® Instant Food Thickener according to the
accompanying chart
- Whisk in butter, margarine, or oil (if desired).
- Cover and place on a steam table for 30 to 45 minutes
- Whisk again before serving
- To serve, scoop onto plate, pipe through a pastry bag using the pasta tip,
or mold into ravioli shapes with our forming molds
Pureed Bread
Mix
- Spray 9x5x3 pan with non-stick spray
- Place 2 cups bread mix into a large bowl
- Add 3 cups cold water to dry mix
- Whisk rapidly with a wire whip until well combined
- Immeadiately pour into pan before mixture becomes too thick to handle
- Smooth surface with a spatula
- Let stand 30 minutes
- Invert pan onto a cutting board and de-mold the bread
- Slice and serve (makes 16)
